  10. Can I create Hotspots in my Flat Scenes and 360° Object Views?

  1. The destination Scene displayed is wrapped/joined end to end when try to add a Scene Hotspot. Why is that so?
It seems that the Scene that you have selected is a partial one but you have loaded it as a 360° Scene instead. You will need to change the Scene type to ´Partial´ by accessing the properties of the Scene. (Right-click on the Scene to access the Scene properties.)

  2. When I try to add a Scene Hotspot that is an Object View Scene, the display looks warped like a kaleidoscope. How do I correct it?
It seems that the number of frames for the Object View Scene is not specified correctly. You will need to enter the correct number of frames by accessing the properties of the Scene. (Right-click on the Scene to access the Scene properties.)

  3. How do I create a transition effect like zooming when I create a Scene Hotspot?
At the ´Add Scene Hotspot´ Window, click on the Source Scene and pan to the view that you desired. Using the zoom in and out buttons, create a transition effect by zooming in as desired. Now, when you click on the Hotspot, it will pan to the view specified and then zoom in before loading the destination Scene.

  4. How many Hotspots can I create within a Scene?
There is no limit to the number of Hotspots that you can create within a single Scene. However, we would suggest a maximum of 8 Hotspots per Scene.

  5. When I click on an Audio Hotspot, it plays via the Windows Media Player. Is it possible to playback the audio automatically without using the player?
Yes, it is possible by using the 3D Audio Embed Hotspot. This Hotspot allows you to embed a wave file within the Scene that will playback automatically depending on settings.

  6. What is the size of the Hotspot icon? Can I customize it?
The Hotspot icon is set at 24 x 24 pixels. You can customize it using the customization settings. Refer to the user guide or online help for more information on create your desired Hotspot icon.

  7. How is the 3D Audio Embed Hotspot different from the Audio link Hotspot?
The Audio link Hotspot playbacks the linked audio file using your default media player. As for the 3D Audio Embed Hotspot, the linked file is played without using any media player. For the 3D Audio Embed Hotspot, you can also specify environmental effects for the sound.

  8. How many environmental effects can I specify?
You can only specify one environment effect per Scene. The environmental effect is based on Creative´s EAX 1.0 technology. For example, creating a virtual of a house allows you to specify different environmental effects for the living room, kitchen, bedrooms and etc.

  9. How many 3D Audio Embed Hotspots can I create within a Scene?
You can create as many 3D Audio Embed Hotspots as you like within a single Scene. We would suggest a maximum of 8 Hotspots, as too many Hotspots may be too confusing for users viewing it.

  10. Can I create Hotspots in my Flat Scenes and 360° Object Views?
Yes, with PixMaker Pro, you can create Hotspots in both Flat and Object View Scenes.
